Writing "I miss you Hongki", "Hongki I started Twitter because of you", and more, fans who have always enjoyed the updates from the idol are asking him to reactivate his account.
Hongki had started off that day replying back to fans on Twitter in a humorous manner about various topics, but it seems his attention was later captured by some links to a few posts on the 'F.T. Island Gallery' page, which is basically a site where people can post their thoughts on anything about F.T Island.
This was around October 2, the time of F.T. Island's Korean release of"Freedom", and there were several posts from fans who did not enjoy the song much. After reading some blunt comments, it seems Hongki grew frustrated and wrote on Twitter, "Ah! What do you call it, that ft Gallery or whatever, I heard a lot about it but after I looked at it in person, I was almost on the verge of breaking my computer... Are you guys antis [anti-fans] keke I wish you'd blab about things after understanding things properly.. It's not like I can even consult with you one on one... sigh."
The words he wrote in his agitated state did not sit well with some fans, especially those active on 'F.T. Island Gallery', who did not think he should speak harshly and call fans antis for voicing their opinions. Some tried to explain to him that they only meant that they knew what F.T. Island was capable of and that there are songs that match the group better, especially F.T. Island's self-composed songs.
This prompted Hongki to reply, "Gallery friends, I know what you're trying to say and I know how you're feeling, and there are points that I agree with as well, but can't you try to speak in a nicer manner. I'm sorry about making a mistake with my words earlier due to my agitated state. However, if I were to say one thing, sometimes I can't do whatever I want because society is not something that can be ignored or taken lightly. I'm sorry and thankful. I was a little too harsh with my words earlier. Sorry."
Then afterwards, Hongki closed his account with the words, "Maybe I got too comfortable, it makes me want to rethink about music again, I'm just going to do SNS where I can just upload my own things. Bye Twitter."
Although the idol has closed his Twitter account, he is still active on Instagram, continuing to entertain his devoted fans with hilarious posts like the one below, so follow him there for now!
