The '2014 Korea Day' is finally here! Well, almost. The celebrations will begin on August 15, Korean Independence Day, for all lovers of K-Pop and Korean culture.
The booth event event will begin outside New York University's Skirball Center on LaGuardia Place at 3:00 PM and is hosted by the Korean Cultural Service New York, Korea Tourism Organization, Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and the Agro-Fisheries Trade Corporation.
Then, the 'New York K-POP Festival' will take place inside the Skirball Center at 6:00 PM. That event will feature eight competitors who came out on top during the on-line preliminary round of the talent competition. The winner here will get the chance to enter the '2014 K-POP WORLD FESTIVAL' in South Korea, although, once again, this does not guarantee a place.

There will also be a ton of amazing booths for attendees to try Korean food, don the traditional Hanbok outfit, check out some makeup tutorials, and a lot more!
Admission is free, although you may need to fight for a wristband that ensures a seat inside the Skirball Center for the talent faceoff. These wristbands will be distributed at the corner of West 3rd Place beginning at 3:00 PM.
