'A Pink's Showtime', which recently broadcast its first episode, achieved a 1.35% average rating, even reaching up to 1.74% during one point in the broadcast - these are very solid numbers considering that this is an idol reality show and that it's on a paid channel, MBC Every1.
The 'Showtime' series also seems to be on the rise with season 3 starring A Pink, which received higher numbers than the first episode of season 1 with EXO. A Pink is also the first girl group to have a 'Showtime' series, and it seems fellow female audience especially enjoyed the episode and were able to relate as it recorded 2.1% average rating among women.
Yoon Mi Jin PD commented, "I think the response was quite exceptional for a girl group reality show... I'm looking forward to seeing whether the show will be able to go beyond the high rating achieved with the first episode and whether the girls will be able to carry out their promise [to pass a 2% average rating]."
