SM Entertainment stated, "Following 'TONE' and 'TIME', this album surpassed 200,000 copies sold in the first week."
TVXQ sold 225,000 copies of 'TREE' in the first week since its release on the 5th, charting at #1 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart on its day of release and now moving to #1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart. This makes the fourth consecutive time that TVXQ sold over 200,000 copies in an album's first week and ranked #1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart following 'BEST SELECTION 2010' in 2010, 'TONE' in 2011, AND 'TIME' in 2013.
Oricon stated on the 11th, "TVXQ ranked #1 on the weekly chart, making it the fourth consecutive time that their full-length album achieved such a feat... Their record of their full-length albums consecutively ranking #1 ties with that of American rock band Bon Jovi... Full-length albums consecutively surpassing 200,000 copies sold in its first week is the first time in thirteen years and ten months since Bon Jovi's two albums 'These Days' and 'Crush' previously set the record."
Congrats, TVXQ!
