'Hair Couture' was founded by announcer-turned-businessman Kim Min Suk in 2008, and was involved with the release of official Girls' Generation hair fashion items this past July.
According to an agency representative, their investment in this hair wig business is part of their 'blue ocean strategy', which in the world of marketing refers to creating consumer value in an uncontested market space. So rather than going after the usual fashion and cosmetics market, they plan to target women who want to look like Girls' Generation by putting emphasis on hair fashion items and wigs.
