Former g.o.d member Danny Ahn opened up about his days as a first generation idol group member on MBC's 'Radio Star'.
What especially caught the attention of viewers was his comment about Yoon Kye Sang leaving g.o.d. He shared, "Not long ago, the g.o.d members all met up together for the first time in eight years. Following promotions for our 5th album, Yoon Kye Sang left the group and began his acting career, and the rest of us misunderstood."
"After our 5th album, our contract was over. Four of us were in sidusHQ and only Kim Tae Woo remained at JYP Entertainment. We planned to temporarily move over to Sidus HQ to promote together and split up our profit. Our individual contract periods were different. We finished first and expressed our desire to continue as a group. But two years passed after that. At the young age of 25 years old, I was [caught up with options from here and there], and the group was split 3 to 2."
"Yoon Kye Sang was tired of it and left the group saying that he wasn't going to do this anymore. He then was cast in a movie by chance. We thought Yoon Kye Sang left the group because he wanted to pursue acting."
Danny Ahn also gave his pick for the current idol group he would most like to join.
It's good that they finally cleared up the misunderstanding even if it was after eight years.
