Psy becomes the most followed Korean celebrity on Weibo

Psy has become the most followed Korean celebrity on the Chinese social networking site Weibo.

Psy opened his Weibo account on November 8, 2012, and he currently has over 8 million followers. Before Psy, Jang Geun Suk held the record for the Korean celebrity with the most followers on the Chinese SNS with 7.8 million followers.

However, Psy has been promoting actively in China, participating in the New Year's programs and holding various other performances in China. His promotions in China gave him an explosive number of followers, pushing him to become the #1 Korean star on Weibo.
