Singer Ivy made an appearance with her family on the latest episode of KBS's 'Qualifications of Men', where they auditioned to be a part of the program's new long-term project, a 'family choir'.
When asked why she auditioned, Ivy answered, "My mother was in a choir when she was young, and I thought that I wanted to create some memories by singing with my mother."
"When we're busy, I think we tend to forget the importance of family," she continued. "But when I was in a bad situation before, the day before the articles came out my mother was admitted to the hospital. She was taking care of her daughter while her own health was ..." she paused here, unable to finish the sentence.
"No matter what kinds of things I do in my life, I felt that the only ones who'll always be on my side are my family," she said, showing tears. "After that happened, it was the impetus for me towards thinking more of my family and loving them."
After sharing her story, the mother-daughter duo impressed the judges by singing in perfect harmony ABBA's hit song, "Thank You For the Music".
