Idol group ZE:A will be representing Korea at the 'Asian' I Am A Singer contest being held in China.
According to ZE:A's agency Star Empire Entertainment, ZE:A will be competing in the survival program 'Sung Dong Yao Jia Woo (????)' taking place on September 5th and 6th.
ZE:A will not only be singing and dancing with some of Asia's top artists from China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and more, they will be competing for the top Asian artist position with their lavish performance.
Because the show is a competition between major artists who have already established themselves, it is being called the 'Asian' version of Korea's 'I Am A Singer'.
Ahead of ZE:A being selected to join the program, Shinhwa member Minwoo also drew attention after being selected as the Korean judge for the program. The show will be starting their first preliminary round next month on the 5th, and the winning team will receive a monetary prize as well as the chance for an independent concert in China.
ZE:A member Kevin remarked, "I think we were given this amazing opportunity after working hard in Korea. Because this is a show where multiple countries are taking part, we will be sure to more readily prepare ourselves, and we will reap results that will not cause us embarrassed to be the Korean representatives."
In related news, ZE:A recently released the jacket photos for their new album 'Pheonix' on their official fan site August 21st to kick off their new promotions.
