K-Pop band CNBLUE sold over 40,000 copies of their new 3rd album 'EAR FUN' in just a few days after being released.
According to the Hanteo Chart, CNBLUE's new album 'EAR FUN' which was released on March 26th sold 13,878 copies within the first day of going to sale. The album manged to sell sell 13,375 copies on day 2 (27th), and 13,4000 on day 3 (28th). On each of those days, CNBLUE's 'EAR FUN' sold more copies than any of it's counterparts, and became the #1 most-searched item on Hanteo Chart which updates in real time.
There has been a fierce battle of the idol groups in March, as SHINee, Shinhwa, 2AM, and more have all made their highly-anticipated comebacks. And for CNBLUE to sell over 40,000 copies of their new album by triumphing such big time contenders is incredibly noteworthy and meaningful for the group.
Up until now, each song on every CNBLUE album including the title track have consistently been a major hit with the fans, and this album is no different. For this new release, they've included their pre-released track "Still In Love", in addition to their title track "Hey You", and the Korean version of their Japanese hit "In My Head". Each track is receiving positive responses from the public and fans.
Meanwhile, CNBLUE's Japanese major debut single "In MyHead" has currently sold over 100,000 copies in Japan and has been acknowledged by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) as a 'Gold Album'. Additionally, their second Japanese single "Where You Are" set a new record in Japan, being the first time in 41 years a foreign rock band secured the #1 spot on the Weekly Oricon chart.
