The company analyzed over 207,518 hash tags to identify the top trending topics of 2011. Under the 'Top 10 Trending Topic's on Twitter', popular idol group Super Junior ranked 7th overall just above Britney Spears and even the devastating Japan earthquake. For the 'Top 10 Trending Musical Artists', Super Junior was ranked 4th above popular figures such as Rebecca Black, Lil Wayne, and Demi Lovato. With this exciting news, Super Junior leader Leeteuk shared his enthusiasm on twitter stating, "Super Junior ranked #4 in Twitter's Global Popularity Ranking!!!!^^".
