Born with a childlike face, Jung Il Woo has been gaining a lot of attention ever since his cameo in one of MBC's most famous dramas, "High Kick Through The Roof", in addition to his major role in MBC's "Unstoppable High Kick". Now the actor has gone through a radical transformation after about one and a half years since his last role in a drama. Jung Il Woo started the interview with a simple warm greeting of 'Hello', and a bright smile which stuck with the actor throughout the entire interview. # External Transformation: The Boy Never Forgotten Jung Il Woo is currently partaking in a role for the SBS drama, "49 Days". The drama is about a young woman whom goes by the name of Ji Hyun. The blissful woman was soon to be married to her fiancé, however her 'perfect life' was ruined in a major car accident that left her in a coma. A reaper is able to give her a second chance on one condition: she must come across three people outside her family that will cry genuine tears for her. To help accomplish her goal, she borrows Yi Kyung's body whom is a part time employee at a convenience store. Jung Il Woo recently took part in a sexy swimming scene for the drama which definitely gained attention as soon as the photos were unleashed. In reply he stated, "It was not easy to sculpt my body so well. Day after day, I had to exercise to an extreme and also had a strict diet I had to follow. I had to eat special foods to lose weight, and watch the amount of calories I consume. By the end of my diet, I was able to lose 6kg." Not only did he lose great amounts of weight, but he was praised for his superior modeling skills. Jung Il Woo described his experiences, "I enjoy waiting for my photos from various shoots to be released, and once the photos are released, I feel extremely happy. Photo shoots are really interesting to me because I love clothes, I've probably fallen in love with every stylist I've encountered." In the 2006 drama "Unstoppable High Kick", Jung Il Woo was able to sport some serious motorcycle fashion and was even able to ride a bike himself! "Me and the motorbike naturally had some chemistry (laughs). It was pretty fun, although I fear riding things with such high speeds." # Growing as an actor "In 2009, I played a major role in KBS 2TV's 'Take Care of the Young Lady', and after that I sort of disappeared from television for awhile. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take any breaks. I was focusing on my studies for the university I attend, and if I ever had free time, I was practicing to become a better actor." He continued, "I feel I did really well in 'Unstoppable High Kick', however I try not to think too much about the same project that I had success with. I need to do better with my current ones, and to hopefully receive some more positive attention from fans after I show my new and improved self. I had a lot of time to clear up my mind, so I'm glad I can show a brand new person in this drama." In response to a question about his drinking habits, he exclaimed, "I stopped drinking alcohol now. The only time you'll see me drinking is if I'm meeting with representatives, and time to time with my closest friends of course (laughs)." Many fans feel that Jung Il Woo rose to stardom overnight with his role in "Unstoppable High Kick". After experiencing so many things in life in such a short time, and growing mature as an actor, Jung Il Woo promises to win the hearts of many. Source + Photos: Seoul NTN via Daum
