Viewers are not impressed with the sudden cancellation of SBS shows 'Heroes' and 'Inkigayo', due to the live Pro-baseball play-off game which went into overtime. Earlier on October 10th, SBS announced that because of the live broadcast of the baseball play-off game between the Doosan Bears and Samsung Lions, the variety show 'Running Man' was cancelled, and was instead replaced by a delayed broadcast of music program 'Inkigayo'. They had also confirmed that variety show 'Heroes' will air as usual. However due to the extended baseball match, both 'Inkigayo' and 'Heroes' were abruptly called off, totaling to three cancelled shows on this day. As a result, viewers who were anticipating to watch their favorite variety show and music program were appalled when they realized both were cancelled without any form of notice. There has since been an overflowing amount of complaints on various portal sites and open boards of the programs' respective websites, criticizing SBS for their lack of consideration for their viewers. Many viewers have expressed, "This is absurd. If they realized the match was going to go overtime, they should have given a notice through the radio or their sports channel. Only the viewers were ridiculed by the lack of sense by SBS", "Canceling the shows without any notice and continuing to play the live match is cheating the viewers", "I will make a complaint to the Communications Commission about this. SBS need to put up an official letter of apology." One viewer expressed, "The problem is not because we couldn't watch 'Inkigayo', 'Running Man' or 'Heroes'. The problem is because the broadcasting company did not keep to their words. Baseball is such a variable sport, but you canceled the shows just for the viewer ratings anyway, didn't you?" Despite this sudden change in schedule, Inkigayo still went on with the recording of the show since the singers were already there and this will be shown next week. Source + Photo: Newsen
