Earlier this year, viewers were sad to see Korean-American John Park eliminated after making it into the top 24 on American Idol. However, it looks like we will be able to see John Park singing once again, this time on Superstar K2. Last week's Superstar K2 episode ended with a preview of John Park's audition at the Superstar K auditions held in Los Angeles on June 26th. On yesterday's episode, viewers were able to see John Park's full audition. John Park performed his versions of Alicia Keys' If I Ain't Got You and Wonder Girls' 2 Different Tears. The judges: Seo In Young, Park Jung Hyun, Tiger JK, and Yoon Mi Rae were all blown away by his performance. In particular, Yoon Mi Rae complimented him on his Wonder Girls cover saying, "At first, because he was singing it in his own style, I didn't even know what song it was." To this, her husband Tiger JK jokingly said, "I didn't care too much for it." He then went on to say, "I'm just joking. Usually people try to copy the singers but I really liked that you sang it with your own style." Since, John Park has passed the preliminary round, he will now be headed for Korea for the next round of auditions. Check out his audition for yourself below! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee2hAmwgow8 Thank you Ktuna for the tip!
