Goo Hye Sun has picked up an award for her short feature film, The Madonna (aka The Cheerful Caretaker) at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2010. The film festival already in its 12th year, had invited Goo Hye Sun to screen her movie and it was revealed that it had received the Spotlight Award which is given to the creator or artist whose short film inspired a wide audience and received widespread public attention. She tweeted on the 13th together with a picture of her trophy, "Everyone had a hard time making the movie. Everyone gather, dinner is on me." The film had previously obtained the Audience Award at the Pusan Asian Short Film Festival 2009 whilst also participating at Asiana International Short Film Festival 2009 and Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival 2009.
