After releasing his latest mini-album titled Victory and yet again dissing Big Bang's leader G-Dragon, "the nation's rapper" Cho PD has announced his sudden retirement! It was revealed that Cho PD would soon be retiring from his idol career after one last big concert for the fans. He's always had thoughts of quitting because he's sick of the trends and social conformity in music nowadays (as he frequently mentions in his personal disses to GD). A representative said, "To those that know him well, it's not exactly breaking news that Cho PD has had many thoughts of quitting." Cho PD commented on his latest/last album saying, "Sometimes there has got to be albums like these in our country. Albums that provide leverage but make a man poor." But people shouldn't take this the wrong way. He's not being forced out of the k-pop scene and nor is he retreating because he pissed off many Big Bang fans. Cho PD is just simply leaving because he feels that at the age of 34 and with 11 long years of music, it's just time to close this part of the chapter in his life. He said, "I'm going to be retreating from any album promotions and will be going back to the life before my debut days. But I do plan to put on one final performance with the album. And I like being called 'the nation's rapper' but I prefer to consider my music best described in comparison to 'Pirate Radio'." Many fans of G-Dragon may be furious at the rapper but the k-pop scene has truly lost a talented artist. Like he says, a lot of music sounds generic and similar to one another but Cho PD has always remained in touch with his hip hop roots. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVBtr6O6kbk Cho PD plans to finalize his retirement with one last concert on the 11th. Although fans in will undoubtedly be disappointment with this talent's leave from the music scene, we hope he enjoys his life outside of the limelight!
