In celebration of Lunar New Year, MBC held a Star Dance Battle between the Wang team - consisting of MBLAQ, T-ara, Yoo Chae Young, Kim Na Young, Jo Hye Ryun, Kim Shin Young and 2PM - and the Shin team - consisting of Rainbow, BEAST, Kim Jong Min, Chun Myung Hoon, Noh Yoo Min, SNSD, Shin Bong Seon and Super Junior. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4atZCrW_L6Q Although the main objective of the show was to outperform the competing team in an extensive dance, the real prize awaited the winner at the end: a complete set of "hanwoo," or Korean home-grown beef. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCUb9SH2vu0 Congratulations to Super Junior FTW for the win! Their performance was different from the others in the sense that the dance meshed power and comic together naturally, awing viewers with their abilities while entertaining them with their signature humor. Instead of recycling the same, old moves that have already been seen before, they delivered a dynamic performance that was both aesthetically pleasing and distinctively memorable among the rest. Even Kyuhyun, the vocalist of the group, surprised everyone when he busted out in his moves. Aside from the group members that were MIA from the event, Star Dance Battle was one helluva way to celebrate Lunar New Year with our favorite K-pop idols through good music, stellar dancing and a whole lot of laughter.
