On January 29th, top Hallyu actor Lee Byung Hun was in Tokyo, Japan to receive the award for "Best Jewellery Wearer." The event titled International Jewellery Tokyo (IJT) 2010 was held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center (Tokyo Big Sight), more than 1,000 people were in attendance for the ceremony. Also winning the award was avid Hallyu fan and Japan's First Lady, Miyuki Hatoyama. For winning this award, the award winners received a trophy and a platinum necklace. More so than concentrating strictly on Jewelry, this award celebrates great fashion sense and achievements. This award also draws much interest from the media and people in Japan. Lee Byung Hun became the first foreigner to receive this award. Lee Byung Hun stated, "This is the second time in my life that I've received jewelry. The first time was on my first birthday, it's a Korean Tradition to give a golden ring on the first birthday. I will try my best and try to be a jewel of an actor."
