The joy from SNSD and Super Junior's confirmed attendance at the Melon Music Awards is sadly short lived. DSP Entertainment has said during a phone interview that SS501 will not be able to attend the awards show because of their Asia Tour Concert. It kind of makes sense since their album came out so late, which is also why they didn't attend the MAMA. Although it's just SS501 that has officially turned down the invitation so far, so it seems that Melon is still leading over Mnet in terms of its guest list. However, it seems like things are not looking so great for KARA either. Fortunately, nothing is finalized for KARA yet. I can tolerate one DSP group's absence, but two? Is this going to be MAMA all over again? Not only that, there are rumors that 2NE1 is not going to attend either. That would be huge because they're bound to snag a couple of awards.
