It seems like it was a good idea for singer / producer Shin Hyuk, who debuted in Korea in 2004 with Soar, to try his hand at producing because one of the tracks he produced previously hit #16 on the Billboard Top 100. The track, called One Less Lonely Girl by Canadian singer Justin Bieber was released on October 6th and hit #16 on October 15. Not only that, the music video also hit #1 on itunes downloads during the same week. At this, netizens said, "This is so cool. Congratulations." Shin Hyuk uploaded a screen capture of this (above) back in October and wrote a caption below it saying, "The dream I've had since I was young has finally come true. [The track I produced] hit #16 on the Billboard Top 100. Actually, my hands are shaking as I'm typing this. When I gave up on my singing career in Korea 5 years ago and came to the States, I had many doubts about being successful since I'm an Asian producer. But everyone around me was very encouraging and helped me try that much harder." I knew about this track before, but I had no idea that a Korean, a former singer no less, had produced it. Congratulations (albeit a bit overdue) to Shin Hyuk for his success.
