Mixing never ending passion and challenge, Epik High has released "Remixing the Human Soul", a remix of their prior hits, today July 22nd. Epik High is continuously receiving love after debuting six years ago in the fall of 2003. Even without any special activities they are still selling albums and even without going along with the usual trends in the music industry, all of their albums don’t fail to show the qualities of popularity, rhythm and critics. Together with indie label group “Map The Soul” and artist portal site “mapthesoul.com”, Epik High has left an impression in the music industry for organizing the same name for their book album and directly organizing the album themselves. They also got together with MYK and Plant Shiver and other indie musicians and even went on to nurture rookies through their sold out ‘Map The Soul World Tour’, which took place in Seoul, Japan and the United States. Through their brilliant performances throughout the tour, Epik High legitimately began their musical entry over seas. Together with Daft Punk and Justice’s producer Pedro Winter and indie hip hop stars in the States, Kero One and Dumbfounded and many other musicians, Epik High has began to exchange musical interests with these artists. Many are looking forward to what kind of a great masterpiece Epik High will release next. Epik High is now taking on another challenge! Epik High and the electronic group they scouted, Planet Shiver, will join forces and release an album with re-recorded, remixed and remastered versions of Epik High’s past hit songs. This isn’t just a remix album or the best album but it’s a perfect compilation of Epik High’s greatest hits. Planet Shiver is made up of DJ Friz, Philtre and female member DH-Style. Other than being DJs and producing and writing songs for Epik High, Dynamic Duo, Drunken Tiger, Leesang and Yang Donggeun, they realized the new meaning of electronic music and created hit songs like Epik High’s 2008 hit “One”, Dynamic Duo’s “Attendance Check” and “Solo” remixes and got their name out. Planet Shiver became a huge interest in the Europe and American club scenes and is now preparing to enter the worldwide music industry together with Epik High. From being an underground musician group, Epik High has now become South Korea’s representing group as they sweep the charts with their songs and bring out the crowds at festivals they perform at.
