Fell in love with the drama, Hong Gil Dong which starred Kang Ji Hwan, Sung Yuri and Jang Geun Suk in 2008? Well, a movie version of Hong Gil Dong, which is based on a fictional book about a Robin Hood in Korea in the Chosun Dynasty will begin filming by end July, and with Lee Bum Soo, Lee Si Young and Kim Suro as the leads. The movie will not be set in the Chosun Dynasty and is about a descendant of Hong Gil Dong in modern day, carrying out the same ideals of robbing the corrupt rich people to feed the poor. Lee Bum Soo will play the modern day Hong Gil Dong who masquerades as a high school teacher in the day but helps the poor at night. Kim Suro will be his rival in opposing him while Lee Si Young plays the girlfriend role for Hong Gil Dong.
