It was revealed that SeeYa leader and vocalist, Nam Gyuri could soon be facing legal action after refusing to adhere to conditions laid out in her contract. Core Contents Media expressed today that Nam Gyuri, who still has 2 years of her contract to run, had declined without any valid reasons to join in the new album recording and other activities for SeeYa. This has impacted SeeYa and the other 2 members, Kim Yeon Ji and Lee Bo Ram greatly as they are left waiting for Nam Gyuri. Core Contents Media has thus decided to sue Nam Gyuri for breach of contract. The 3 members of SeeYa, Nam Gyuri, Kim Yeon Ji and Lee Bo Ram had signed a 5 year contract back then with GM and debuted in February 2006. GM was however absorbed into Mnet Media in 2006. When their contract with Mnet Media ended, SeeYa signed a new contract with Core Contents Media in February 2009, with plans for a 4th album. Kim Yeon Ji and Lee Bo Ram did the transfer as stated to Core Contents Media in February and started preparing for SeeYa's new album. But Nam Gyuri did not. A representative expressed, "Nam Gyuri's actions has severely impacted the release of SeeYa's new album. This has caused the company to lose valuable time and money because of the delay. Moreover, this has also severely damaged the image of SeeYa and the other 2 members. We have no choice but to file a legal suit against her." Nam Gyuri's representative has expressed their shock at this legal suit with an immediate response. They were actually told by Core Contents Media that Nam Gyuri would be replaced and that SeeYa would not be disbanded just because she left. They also hinted that the new member is already in place although this cannot be verified now. This is not the first time where Nam Gyuri was reported to be leaving SeeYa and go solo. But it looks like things have turned ugly between artiste and company here.
