MC/comedian Lee Hwi Jae and child actor Wang Seok Hyun held a press conference the other day to announce that they are starring in their own variety show which will air on KBS2’s “Invincible Saturday” line-up starting on the 25th of April. The program will show Hwi Jae and Seok Hyun living together for 100 days and the trials and tribulations Hwi Jae goes through in his transformation from a somewhat irresponsible bachelor to a dependable father figure. Hwi Jae said that he has a nephew so he does have some experience dealing with hiding porno magazines children. He’s not confident when it comes to cooking meals or helping a child use the bathroom but he doesn’t have any problems at all with having fun and entertaining kids. With that comment, I sense Hwi Jae is subtly giving an excuse to have a fine looking female celebrity guest (that’s domestically competent) on his new show. The new program will air in the same timeslot as SBS’s “Star King” and MBC’s “Infinity Challenge” so it’s got some serious competition to contend with. Hwi Jae stated that when he was informed that his show was going to compete against two of Korea’s most popular programs he shit his pants definitely felt some pressure. Hwi Jae went on to say that he’s not too worried because he has complete faith in Seok Hyun’s undeniable charm, which enchanted over 8 million viewers in the hit movie “Speed Scandal.”
