I was extremely delighted to hear that YB (Yoon Do Hyun Band) was coming back. In my opinion, Yoon Do Hyun is one of the most versatile singers in Korea, and he is the sole reason I started listening to Korean rock. You can never go wrong listening to YB with all those slamming vocals and shredding guitars. But that's enough sweating their nuts. YB made their comeback yesterday via Mnet MCountdown, as they performed "아직도 널 (Still You)". Man, can this guy sing live! I'm loving the old 80's glam rock hair styles. Before the comeback performance, Lee Hong Ki of FT Island put on a little skit to show the wild popularity of YB's World Cup song, "오! 필승 "리아 (Oh! Victory For Korea)" from 2002. Check out the skit and performance here (thanks to JaeuraznLive!): That World Cup song really stirs up my Korean pride. It makes me want to watch the game at a local Korean restaurant with a bunch of drunk ahjuhsees yelling screaming at the TV screen. Oh, those fond memories.. "Dae Han Min Gook! (Clap clap clap clap clap)".
