XG have dropped their music video for "Mascara".
"Mascara" is the XGALX girl group's second single following their debut this past March with 'Tippy Toes', and it's an upbeat dance track about wanting to be treated right. The 7-member international girl group includes Harvey, Jurin, Chisa, Cocona, Hinata, Maya, and Juria, and Ezaki Hiraku has been confirmed to be joining after her contract with Kep1er comes to an end.

I quite like it, it's a very girlbossy song. I do have a serious question though: What can be considered Kpop? Does a group debuting with the Kpop "format" or structure make them a Kpop group even if they sing in English? Because personally I've always thought of Kpop as Korean pop meaning songs sung mainly in the Korean language, but when I really think about it - are there certain rules an artist has to follow to be considered "Kpop"?
I think I'm making a big deal out of nothing, Kpop surely has structures and stereotypes that makes Kpop, well, Kpop. But genre wise, if I found this song for example randomly on Spotify, I wouldn't categorise it as Kpop. At the same time, songs like Arcade Love by LYNXCATS really sounds like a Kpop song even though it's fully in English.
I'd love to hear some other thoughts about this.
