The court dismissed an arrest warrant for a man in his 40s who attempted to kidnap a teenage girl from an apartment elevator.
On September 10, the Goyang Police Station in Gyeonggi Province revealed the Goyang Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court dismissed the arrest warrant for A requested by police. According to the court, "There is no fear of re-offending or escaping," which explains the reason for the dismissal. The police are currently taking protective measures on behalf of the victim and preparing to re-apply for an arrest warrant.
'A' is accused of attempting to kidnap the victim from an apartment elevator in Goyang on the afternoon of the 7th. He's reported to have threatened her with a knife after following her into the apartment building, where she lived.
