Spy action film 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' is taking South Korea by storm as it is now the highest-grossing R-rated foreign film ever since '300' (2007) and will soon become the all-time most viewed movie at the theaters in Korea.

As awesome as spy movies can get, 'Kingsman' is blowing away everyone's expectations in Korea. On March 19, it was announced that the spy action comedy film has been in the number one spot at the Korean box office since its February 11 premiere, earning over $37 million USD in Korea alone. Starring Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, and Taron Egerton, this U.S. and U.K. production has reportedly earned more in Korea than it has in the U.K. or any other country besides the United States.

Heck, after attracting over 5 million moviegoers, the film is even close to surpassing the country's most-watched movie ever, 'The Chaser' (2008), which gathered 5.07 million views during its run in the box office.

In the clip above, film critic Jason Bechervaise shares that he believes 'Kingsman' has something special about it that attracts Korean viewers. At the 2:30 mark, he says, "Simply put, the Korean film industry doesn't have anything like this. So the audience sees this as kind of unusual, unique, outlandish--but entertaining."

I mean, considering the action, the fun, and the eye candy, who wouldn't want to watch?

Bechervaise goes on to list other foreign movies that did exceptionally well in the country as well as he says that British film 'About Time' (2013) and U.S. indie film 'Begin Again' (2013) made more money in Korea than anywhere else.
