Actress Seo Ye Ji is set to appear on TV Chosun’s ‘Sikgaek Heo Young Man’s Baekban Travel’, airing at 8:50 PM KST on March 30th, where she candidly shares the hardships she has faced in her acting career.

In the episode, Seo Ye Ji revisits Wonju, Gangwon Province, a location filled with memories from the drama ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’, expressing her joy and nostalgia during the visit.

Since debuting in the sitcom ‘Potato Star’, Seo Ye Ji has built her career through various dramas including ‘Save Me’ and ‘Lawless Lawyer’. However, in recent years, she has often portrayed dark, emotionally scarred characters, leading to public misunderstandings about her real-life personality.

When asked by host Heo Young Man if there was anything she found difficult while acting, Seo Ye Ji responded, “As a public figure, I felt I had to endure how the public viewed me,” and added, “I was really stressed out by all the misunderstandings that happened while I was staying quiet.”

Seo Ye Ji halted her activities in 2021 amid a series of controversies, including accusations of manipulating her ex-boyfriend Kim Jung Hyun, falsifying her academic background, and past school bullying allegations. She returned the following year with the drama ‘Eve’, but the reception was lukewarm.

More recently, Seo Ye Ji addressed online rumors that she had dated both actor Kim Soo Hyun and his cousin Irobe at the same time. “I really hope these rumors stop now. I have no relationship with him or his brother,” she said. “I don’t even know why I have to explain this, but I feel pretty frustrated today.”

Seo Ye Ji’s upcoming appearance marks a rare opportunity for her to open up about her experiences and confront the lingering rumors and misconceptions that have followed her.
