Koo Jun Yup, who lost his wife, the late Barbie Hsu, has put his activities on hold. However, the advertising industry continues to show strong support for him.
According to Taiwanese media, Koo Jun Yup canceled all official engagements following Barbie Hsu’s sudden passing. His scheduled flash mob event in February and beauty clinic opening in March were both postponed indefinitely, with no set date for his return.
Despite his withdrawal from events, a Taiwanese beauty clinic, where he was set to appear, has expressed full support for him.
On the 16th, ET Today reported that the clinic’s director, Zhu Qingxuan, made an official statement: "We will wait indefinitely for Koo Jun Yup’s return."
He further reassured, "There are no contract concerns. We will cover all costs on our side and provide him with the utmost support, regardless of his emotional and psychological state."
On the 15th, Koo Jun Yup attended Barbie Hsu’s farewell funeral at Jinbaoshan Rose Park in Taiwan, alongside her bereaved family.
Media outlets captured images of Koo Jun Yup looking visibly unwell, showing significant weight loss and severe eye swelling. According to local reports, he has been unable to eat properly and has been continuously in tears, leading to a decline in his health.
Meanwhile, Barbie Hsu’s mother, Huang Chunmei, publicly condemned her late daughter’s ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei.
She posted a cryptic message on social media, writing, "Imagine how it feels for a kind woman to endure ten years of abuse."
Local media interpreted this as an allusion to Barbie Hsu’s suffering during her marriage to Wang Xiaofei.
Many netizens expressed their sympathy, commenting, "She must have gone through so much pain," while offering condolences to the grieving family.
