TVING’s original series 'The Scandal of Chunhwa' is drawing attention with its captivating storyline that keeps viewers glued to the screen.

The story unfolds during a time when a controversial erotic novel titled 'The Scandal of Chunhwa' stirs the capital city. The drama follows Princess Hwa Ri (played by Go Ara), who boldly declares that she will personally choose her husband. This decision entangles her with the city’s most notorious playboy, Choi Hwan (played by Jang Ryul), and the ideal groom candidate, Jang Won (portrayed by Kang Chan Hee), leading to a thrilling romantic historical drama.

The series enhances its charm through narration, adding a unique touch that elevates its witty and immersive storytelling. The well-timed narration deepens the audience’s connection to each character’s journey.

The first two episodes, released on February 6, introduced Princess Hwa Ri’s quest for true love and her encounter with Choi Hwan, the only candidate willing to become her husband.

Disguised as a man, Hwa Ri sneaks into a Gisaeng house, where she first meets Choi Hwan. The two cross paths again at an inn, but while Hwa Ri fails to recognize him, Choi Hwan finds himself intrigued by her. Witnessing her heartbreak after a failed elopement with her lover, he becomes deeply fascinated by her resilience.

Determined to move past his own romantic disappointments, Choi Hwan boldly proposes to Hwa Ri. However, skeptical of his reputation as the city’s biggest flirt, she refuses to believe his intentions. To convince her, he declares, "I have fallen for the person, not just a woman," leaving her stunned. The episode ends with a kiss between the two, heightening anticipation for their romance.
