On February 28, media outlet TenAsia released an exclusive report that G-Dragon wrapped up filming for IU's YouTube talk show 'IU's Palette,' marking a heartfelt reunion between the two artists.
This follows their successful collaboration in 2017 on IU's hit song 'Palette,' where G-Dragon contributed to the track's rap-making and was featured in the song. Since then, the two have maintained a warm senior-junior relationship in the music industry, with G-Dragon even making guest appearances at IU's concerts.
G-Dragon's appearance on 'IU's Palette' comes shortly after the release of his new album 'Übermensch' on February 25, his first studio album in 11 years. The album's title track, 'Too Bad' (featuring Anderson .Paak), quickly topped the charts on major Korean music platforms such as Melon, Genie, and Bugs, and all tracks from the album made it into the top 20 of Melon’s 'Top 100.'

The music video for 'Too Bad' also gained attention with a special cameo by Karina of aespa.
'IU's Palette' is a talk show that blends music and candid conversation, with notable K-pop artists such as BTS's V, DAY6, and Twice also having appeared on the show. In the upcoming episode with G-Dragon, the two artists discussed his new music and ongoing activities in the industry.

Beyond her hosting duties, IU is preparing for the release of her new Netflix series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' on March 7. The drama follows the adventurous life of a rebellious girl, Ae Sun (played by IU), and a strong-willed man, Gwan Sik (played by Park Bo Gum), set across the four seasons.
Last year, IU made history as the first female artist to hold a solo concert at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, filling the 100,000-seat venue. G-Dragon even shared his excitement by posting a photo from the concert.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon, who is currently appearing on MBC’s variety show 'Good Day,' is set to begin his new world tour at the Goyang Sports Complex on March 29–30.
This reunion between G-Dragon and IU is another testament to the strong friendship and collaboration that continues to define their careers in K-pop.
