The 32nd Hanteo Music Awards 2024 (32ND HMA 2024) successfully wrapped up its first day at Jangchung Arena in Seoul on February 15. At the ceremony, Tomorrow X Together (TXT) and aespa claimed the top honors in major award categories.
TXT took home five awards, including 'Artist of the Year (Bonsang)', 'Global Artist in North America', 'Top Touring Artist', and the prestigious 'Grand Prize – Best Performance'. Member Yeonjun also won 'Global Artist in Oceania', further solidifying their dominance. (G)I-DLE also performed well, winning 'Artist of the Year (Bonsang)' and 'Global Generation Icon', while member Minnie secured 'The Most Prime Solo', bringing their total to three trophies.
The night featured spectacular performances, with TXT delivering high-energy stages of 'Deja Vu' and 'Over The Moon' and Yeonjun impressing with 'GGUM'. Lee Mu Jin's 'Coming Of Age Story', Minnie's 'Her' and 'Cherry Sky', and rookie groups like SAY MY NAME, ARTMS, EPEX, NOWADAYS, and tripleS also received enthusiastic responses. The highlight of the night was a powerful duet of 'Goose’s Dream' by Insooni and Kim Jae Joong, which became one of the most memorable moments of the event.
Beyond performances, the 32ND HMA 2024 was praised for its grand stage setup and free live streaming on Mnet, TVING (Korea), and BIGC (global streaming). The second day, taking place on February 16, will feature performances by RIIZE, LIGHTSUM, 8TURN, NCT WISH, Young Tak, YOUNG POSSE, EVNNE, Lee Seung Yoon, Yena, and Huh Yong Byeol (Huh Gak, Shin Yong Jae, Lim Han Byeol). The Red Carpet Ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM KST on BIGC, followed by the Main Award Ceremony at 7:00 PM KST on Mnet, TVING, and BIGC.
