BLACKPINK's Lisa shared her thoughts on her first acting experience and revealed how she got the role.
On February 17 (local time), Lisa revealed her thoughts in an interview with the American media outlet The Wrap.
'The White Lotus Season 3' is a dark comedy that delicately portrays human desires and conflicts set against the backdrop of a beautiful resort. The third season was filmed in Thailand, including locations in Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, with Lisa cast as the resort health mentor named Mook. She worked alongside Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, and Jason Isaacs.
Regarding her role, Lisa said, "I wanted to switch to a new chapter in my life." She revealed that since it was a show she liked, she decided to audition with the thought of giving it a try after receiving the offer.

The HBO production team revealed that during the casting process in Thailand, the co-producer and casting director recommended Lisa. However, executive producer Dave Bernard and creator Mike White admitted that they were not familiar with Lisa or BLACKPINK. As a result, they conducted the audition with the same standards as for every other actor.
Lisa explained, "I sent over my video tape and I got a callback, and then I went to see Mike White and did another audition in front of him. Later I received a call that I got the role. It was not easy." She continued, "It was a completely new world. I enjoyed the filming process."
Dave Bernard praised Lisa's performance, saying, "She was amazing. She blew us away." He continued and expressed his concerns about Lisa being an international pop star and was worried about whether it would interfere with filming. However, Lisa was professional about her role. He shared, "She could not be more down to earth as a human … her approach to it was as professional and as dedicated as everyone else was."
