Seo In Young confirms divorce and plans for a comeback.

According to reports on November 28th KST, Seo In Young decided to part ways with her husband and initiated the divorce process in mid-May. After consulting with lawyers and preparing for a legal battle, the couple recently reached an agreement for a mutual divorce.

Seo In Young’s representatives stated, “There were no issues of fault during the divorce process. The two have amicably decided to end their marriage and will support each other as they go their separate ways.”

Seo In Young announced her marriage to fans in December 2022 through a handwritten letter. She expressed her joy, saying, “I never thought marriage was for me, but a precious person entered my life. Having met someone who cherishes and loves me for who I am, I am now moving forward, not alone but as a family.”

On February 27th last year, Seo In Young held a private wedding ceremony, inviting family and close friends. Her husband, a non-celebrity businessman, was included in these arrangements out of consideration for their privacy. Jewelry group members Park Jung Ah and Lee Ji Hyun attended the ceremony, moved to tears as they celebrated her new chapter.

Seo In Young initially spoke of her married life with pride on TV. Before the wedding, she appeared on KBS2’s “Problem Child in House” and shared, “We’ve already registered our marriage and are living together. My husband has a personality completely opposite to mine—he’s steady and calm, and I was the one who confessed first.” After the wedding, she further expressed, “I’m not one to lose in arguments, but with him, I find myself losing often,” showcasing her deep affection.

However, in September, unexpected reports surfaced that her husband had filed for divorce. In a phone interview, Seo In Young admitted to being taken aback but expressed her intent to resolve things through dialogue. Despite efforts to mend their relationship over the past year, the couple ultimately chose divorce.

This marks the end of their marriage after just seven months, with the two parting ways in under two years. Since their marriage was short, with no children or significant disputes over property division, it was expected to conclude quickly. However, differences in opinions and the matter of fault lengthened the process.

Despite the challenges, Seo In Young plans to make a comeback as a singer. Her representatives shared, “Seo In Young is preparing for a comeback early next year. Along with her return to the music industry, she is gearing up for global expansion in the U.S., Japan, and China. We apologize to fans who may have been worried due to recent reports and ask for your support as Seo In Young embarks on this new chapter.”
