The Instagram account of Moon Hee Jun and Soyul’s daughter, JamJam (real name Heeyul), was suddenly deactivated, resulting in the loss of all her posts without explanation.
Soyul, a former member of Crayon Pop, married Moon Hee Jun in 2017, and the couple has a son and a daughter. Moon Hee Jun and their children have received much love from viewers through appearances on KBS2’s variety show ‘The Return of Superman.’
On November 19th, Soyul shared her frustration on social media, saying, “Our JamJam’s Instagram was suddenly deactivated last night. All the beautiful pictures, drawings, videos, and photos that fans kindly created for her are gone. It’s truly heartbreaking. But I guess it’s due to the platform’s policy.”
She added, “Will we have to wait until our 8-year-old princess JamJam turns 14 to reactivate it? I hope that’s the case. Although I’m upset, I’ll share JamJam’s lovely photos frequently on my account. Thank you so much to everyone who supported JamJam’s Instagram. We’ll create a new one when she grows up. I really hope they reactivate it.”
Instagram, a social networking platform, allows accounts only for users aged 14 and older. For accounts managed by parents on behalf of children under 14, specific explanations must be provided in the account’s bio.
Recently, Meta (Instagram’s parent company) implemented stricter protective measures for minors, leading to the removal of many accounts centered around children’s photos. This policy has resulted in the deletion of numerous parenting and child-related accounts operated by parents.
JamJam’s Instagram account, managed by her mother Soyul, was likely deactivated under these new protective measures. All posts were deleted as a result.
Soyul later shared her efforts to recover the account, writing, “Everyone, JamJam’s account is currently blocked, and I’m trying to get it restored! If anyone knows how, please help! Why is this happening?” expressing her frustration.
