An employee from SM Entertainment has expressed strong disapproval in response to HYBE’s recently leaked internal document. The controversial document has sparked intense discussion among netizens, as it contains derogatory remarks about multiple idol groups. One section of the document particularly caught the attention of an SM Entertainment employee, as it focused on SM's new girl group candidates, questioning their attractiveness and implying a decline in the company’s aesthetic standards.
The document further criticizes a specific SM girl group, noting that their fandom's defense —claiming that talented members were not given enough spotlight by the company— was invalidated by poor vocal performances at Coachella. The SM Entertainment employee posted that section of the document on their Instagram Story and included question marks along with shocked and angry emojis.
"Even Min Hee Jin, who was at SM for 15 years, shook her head at this situation. They keep accusing other agencies of manipulation and reverse marketing, but only HYBE got exposed in the audit."
"Let's report HYBE to KWANGYA119."
"Other agencies' idols are all pretty, but people might ignore HYBE's idols because they seem lacking."
"Min Hee Jin at least didn’t spread such things, which proves that SM didn’t engage in such actions."
"Where did HYBE learn these bad practices and think it’s normal? Is this common in the industry?"
"Are they trying to push this logic through? Wow."
"HYBE is being criticized while they try to drag other agencies down. Don't blame companies that have been wronged."
"They can’t sue based on this alone, but if they dig into it more, HYBE might get exposed."
"Including competitors in reports in this way really shows a lack of class."
"It makes sense that people are angry; this is a serious issue."
"If all entertainment companies were like HYBE, issues would have surfaced at other agencies earlier."
"This is laughable; HYBE is so obvious with reverse marketing tactics."
"If this is how HYBE manipulates public opinion, it’s a joke. Only HYBE has documented evidence against them."
"Why drag down trainees from other agencies?"
"Seriously, how could an agency stoop this low?"
"Why is HYBE consistently showing a pattern of dirty tactics?"
"It’s clear they view people merely as commodities."
"HYBE needs to address the leaking of internal documents."
"HYBE seems to be trying to manipulate public opinion again."
"Agencies should collectively sue over this."
