Actress Shim Hye Jin, known as the mother of RIIZE member Anton and the wife of composer Yoon Sang, is making her comeback through a photo shoot for the August issue of AtStar after a long hiatus.
Shim Hye Jin recently stepped in front of the camera for the beauty brand Guerlain's photo shoot, instantly captivating the set with her test shots despite her long absence. Her ability to create perfect shots with every look and movement drew admiration from the staff.
Shim Hye Jin debuted in 1995 as part of the first generation of HBS public talent recruits and actively participated in dramas such as SBS's 'Model' in 1998 and 'Partner.' Her involvement in Yoon Sang's 'Always As Usual' music video in 1998 led to a four-and-a-half-year romance, culminating in their marriage in 2002.
After getting married, Shim Hye Jin moved to the United States with her husband, Yoon Sang, pausing her acting career to support him. The couple has two sons, with their eldest, Lee Chan Young, currently active as Anton in the popular group RIIZE.
In a one-hour interview with AtStyle, Shim Hye Jin expressed her deep affection for her son Anton. Reflecting on seeing his performance for the first time at an LA fan concert, she said, "Seeing him (performing) in person, I felt both like he was my son and like I was meeting an idol, which was fascinating." Her pride and love for her son were evident.
She added, "I hope he can face future challenges confidently and steadfastly. I wish for him to continue this work happily, always holding gratitude for his fans." She conveyed her unwavering support for his career.
Shim Hye Jin also shared her intentions to return to the entertainment industry, not just as a wife or mother, but as herself. She stated, "If opportunities arise for me to do something, I would love to take on those challenges joyfully."
