Members of tvN's popular show 'Earth Arcade' Mimi, from the girl group Oh My Girl, and comedian Lee Eun Ji have teamed up.
According to Star News on July 17 KST, Mimi and Lee Eun Ji recently formed a project group named 'MNZ'. The duo, known as the "Unnies" line in the show, completed filming a music video for their new song last month, raising expectations for their activities as 'MNZ'.
Mimi and Lee Eun Ji have been active members of Earth Arcade alongside Lee Young Ji and IVE's Ahn Yujin. They also recently collaborated on the tvN variety show 'Earth Arcade's Vroom Vroom', which concluded on the 21st of last month. Mimi entertained viewers with her quirky personality, while Lee Eun Ji provided guidance as the eldest. Lee Eun Ji even showcased her dance skills in a random play dance game, impressing everyone.
Their new song will be released on Mimi's YouTube channel 'MimPD' without plans for traditional music distribution platforms.
Additionally, it has been reported that neither Mimi's agency, WM Entertainment, nor Lee Eun Ji's agency, Cube Entertainment, is involved in this project. On July 16 KST, Mimi sparked curiosity by posting a caricature on various social media platforms announcing the formation of 'MNZ.' The caricature features distinctive characteristics of both Mimi and Lee Eun Ji, along with the 'MNZ' logo.
Especially, Mimi introduced on her YouTube channel that a new category, "Handmade" has opened on 'MimPD.' She announced plans to reveal the behind-the-scenes story and growth process of 'MNZ,' the first project group under this category. According to the announcement, episodes about this content will be released every Wednesday and Sunday at 6 PM, starting from July 17. Fans are eagerly anticipating the music that Mimi and Lee Eun Ji, who have built a strong friendship through 'Earth Arcade,' will present.
