Actress Joo Hyun-young, known for her vibrant presence on 'SNL Korea,' will no longer be part of 'Jigumabul World Travel' as she decides to concentrate on her acting career.
On January 27th, Star News reported that Joo's participation in the ENA and TEO's entertainment project 'Jigumabul World Travel 2' has fallen through. Despite her role as a studio MC alongside Noh Hong-chul and Joo Woo-jae in Season 1, she will not return for Season 2, which is set to proceed with Noh Hong-chul and Joo Woo-jae as the duo MCs.
'Jigumabul World Travel' is an entertainment program where travel influencers Pani Bottle, Won Ji, and Kwak Tube join forces with producer Kim Tae-ho to embark on a global journey designed around the board game "Blue Marble."
During the show's first season, which concluded in May last year, Joo Hyun-young guided viewers through the random travels of Pani Bottle, Kwak Tube, and Won Ji, showcasing her enthusiasm, particularly as a declared fan of Pani Bottle. Her deep engagement with the travel adventures of the three influencers added laughter and enjoyment to the show. However, she has chosen not to continue with Season 2.
Previously, Joo also departed from the Coupang Play entertainment show 'SNL Korea,' where she had been a crew member. Following the end of its rebooted fourth season in September last year, Ju bid farewell to 'SNL Korea,' as exclusively reported by Star News on January 29.
Following her exits from 'SNL Korea' and 'Jigumabul World Travel,' Jo Hyun-young plans to dedicate her time to her primary profession, acting. She is currently appearing in the Tving Original 'Crime Scene Returns,' an entertainment show that had completed filming last year.
Joo Hyun-young has shown remarkable performances in consecutive roles, featuring in the ENA's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young-woo' and tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Surviving as a Celebrity Manager.' Her acting journey continued with the recent conclusion of the MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'The Legend of Park’s Marriage.' Joo has recently been cast in a leading role for the movie 'Mystery Train' and is set to begin filming soon. Additionally, the release of the movie '2 PM Date,' which was filmed in 2022, is on the horizon.
I saw some clips of it and was disgusted at how corrupt it was.
