The beloved K-Pop duo, "SISTAR19," made up of Hyolyn and Bora, recently had an interview with Mike Adam for Audacy, where they shared their excitement about returning to music after seven years away and that they plan to bring new ideas and concepts to their fans.
Both artists also opened up, expressing their current concerns. Hyolyn mentioned:
“Our concern is that although we have already shown a lot on stage, we will want to show new aspects of SISTAR19, but if we stray too far from our original function, we may not meet fans' expectations. who had been waiting so long for our return".
“Music trends are changing very quickly, but we thought it would be good to show the type of music we made before. We prepared the album in the old SISTAR19 style with a more modern vibe, I guess we are in a position to show and inspire people again that way."
Bora mentioned that they are ready to challenge themselves musically and inspire those around them.
At a certain point in the interview, Mike asked them if there is any artist they admire and with whom they would like to collaborate in the future or do at least some activity together.
Faced with this question, both Hyolyn and Bora responded that the artist that inspires them to grow and be better every day is "BLACKPINK" due to how much they achieved from their debut when they were so young until today when they are now one of the Top Female Artists in Asia. The members of "Sistar19" also expressed their desire to one day share the stage with the female quartet during a tour.
Hyolyn and Bora are both original members of the K-Pop group, "SISTAR," which disbanded in 2017. While the break-up caused many of the members to go their own separate ways, musically, the pair knew they wanted to work on resurfacing their sub-unit group "SISTAR19," a duo they formed separately from the group in 2011.
I think the issue here would be that any group that supports Blackpink on tour will likely show how average BP are on stage in comparison.
