This charismatic group filled with delightful personalities has critics peering over as they continue to make waves worldwide.

The six members of Weeekly - Lee Soojin, Monday, Park Soeun, Lee Jaehee, Jihan, and Zoa have a distinct charm and youthful spirit. Their latest single, "Stranger," aims to bring the domestic success the group has achieved overseas by transcending linguistic barriers with an emotional guitar vibe and warm atmosphere to complement the cold winter season.

With Weeekly's release just around the corner, we sat down with the group to chat about their newest release, upcoming tour, 2024 goals, and we even played a balance game! Keep reading below to find out the scoop on Weeekly!

allkpop: Hi Weeekly! Its so wonderful to meet you all! Could you give our readers a quick introduction?

Weeekly: Hello allkpop readers! We are Weeekly!

allkpop: Weeekly has been hard at work and has recently announced your latest digital single, “Stranger”, set to release January 25, 2024. Tell us a little bit about this comeback concept and what inspired “Stranger”.

Monday: The concept is really the positive vibe that we wanted to show!

ZOA: We were inspired by our actual stories as Weeekly from our trainee period to now. Two things- one is that it's inspired by our own story as Weeekly, as well as our Daileee's personal life story, too. We're inseparable so we are both each other's lights and hope. This is one of the inspirations behind the song.

allkpop: This latest single is set to have an English and Korean version. What are you hoping to accomplish by having both versions of the song available to fans?
Jaehee: We made two versions, the Korean version and the English version. My goal is for our international Daileee to be able to easily listen to our English version.

allkpop: That's amazing! As Weeekly thinks about expanding their reach globally, are there any thoughts about heading on tour both domestic and overseas?

Soojin: We're planning for the US Tour. The dates have not been confirmed yet, but we're going to visit the US this year. We're hoping to meet a lot of international Daileee for the first time in person. We're working very hard in preparation of this performance and I hope we can deliver a great show to fans and I'm excited to meet the Daileee overseas too!

allkpop: Are there any cities or tourist activities you hope to check off your bucket list while you are on tour? Things you want to do, food your want to eat, sights you want to see?

Soeun: I have a close friend that studies abroad in the US. She studies in Chicago and she's visited New York multiple times and recommends it to me. I look forward to performing and visiting New York so the members and taking lots of photos and eating a lot of food. I hear New York pizza is the best!

Soojin: Weeekly loves snacks, especially American snacks. I want to visit a supermarket locally and buy a snack called "Wheat Thins"! 

ZOA: We love snacks, but we also love taking photos! I want to take a photo with the members in Las Vegas at night! I also really want to visit the Grand Canyon.

allkpop: You mentioned before the interview you love watching American TV! What are your favorite American TV Shows?

Monday: James Corden. Carpool Karaoke!

allkpop: What song would you sing if you were on Carpool Karaoke?

Monday: Stranger! 

allkpop: Good answer! What about the rest of you?

Soeun: Kim's Convenience Store!

allkpop: Ok! With Simu Liu. Who else?

Soojin: These days I've learned a lot of English by watching David Letterman!

ZOA: The Kelly Clarkson Show!

Jihan: My favorite drama is Gossip Girl. My favorite character is Blair!

allkpop: We're excited for what's to come! Weeekly has just embarked on a new year – any 2024 resolutions or goals you might have as a group?

Soeun: There's a lot of different things I want to accomplish in 2024. One of the things I want to accomplish is the success of "Stranger". I hope that it charts either in the Billboard chart or the Korean music chart.

Jaehee: In 2024, we're planning for our US tour, so one of the goals I want to accomplish is to have a successful US tour without anyone getting sick! I want to have a nice tour and meet a lot of fans. After we come back from our US tour, we're hoping to visit Daileee all around the world. Maybe in Europe, South America, or Asia. 2024, I really want to meet a lot of international and Korean Daileee through performance on stage. 

allkpop: Balance Game! I will name two options and you must select 1 of the two that you prefer! Ready? Let's start with a simple one: Cute and Trendy comeback concept or Cool and Unique comeback concept?

Jihan: Cool!

Soeun: Cool, because we're cool girls! 

allkpop: Text Messaging or Talking on the Phone?

ZOA: Message!

Soeun, Jaehee, Soojin, Jihan, and Monday: Calling! 

ZOA: I don't really have a reason behind why, but I like Messaging!

Jaehee: I like calling better because I don't have to wait when I ask a question.

Soeun: I like calling better because I'm not very good at typing.

allkpop: Concert or Fan Meeting?

Soojin: Recently we did a fan meeting here in Korea, so this time I want to do an actual concert!

Jihan: Concert! I feel like the strength of this group is the musical side, so concert is the best way to show that off!

Monday: Me too! Concert! In a fan meeting we share stages, but concert is more driven by stage performance.

allkpop: Fried Chicken or Hamburger?

Soeun, ZOA, Jaehee, Soojin, Jihan, and Monday: CHICKEN!

allkpop: OK! Unanimous, how come?

Jaehee: In Korea, there's a chicken that is not necessarily fried chicken, but has a flavor on it that's a traditional Korean snack. We all really like it so we always have it on shoot or on break or behind the scenes, so that's why we love chicken!

allkpop: New Phone or New Clothes?

Soeun: New phone!

ZOA, Jaehee, Soojin, Jihan, and Monday: New clothes!

Jihan: Besides Soeun, almost all our members chose new clothes!

Soeun: The reason why I said phone is because recently I was on a plane ride, and I spilled lemonade on my phone. Since then, my phone hasn't been functioning properly, so I want a new phone!

Soojin: I don't need a phone because I already have one, so I want more choices and variety of clothes! 

allkpop: Hot Coffee or Iced Coffee?

Soeun, ZOA, Jaehee, Soojin, Jihan, and Monday: Iced coffee!

Soojin: Because we're cool girls!

Soeun: Cool girls! Do you know "얼죽아" (eoljug-a)? There's a trendy term in Korean that means 'even though it's really cold, we all drink coffee'.

allkpop: Collab with a Korean artist or Collab with a Western artist? Tell us who!

ZOA: Both are cool, of course, but since this year we're preparing for our US tour, I think collaborating with a US artist would be more fun!

allkpop: Anybody in mind?

Monday: I really love Olivia Rodrigo!

Soeun: I like Sarah Kang!

allkpop: Ballad Song or Upbeat Song?

Monday and Soojin: Ballad!

ZOA: I really like listening to ballads.

Jihan: I like doing upbeat songs! We have more upbeat songs until now, so it's more familiar. When I sing an upbeat song, it makes me happy!
