BLACKPINK's LISA continues to dominate music platforms globally, setting records as a solo artist with widespread fan support.
As a Thai artist who trained extensively in K-pop under YG Entertainment, LISA has made a significant impact on South Korea's music history. Her hit single "Money" achieved a landmark by becoming the first K-pop track by a solo artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify. This achievement was notable for being attained without collaborations or remixes since its release. Recognizing her accomplishments, "Guinness World Records" acknowledged LISA and BLACKPINK as record-setting K-pop acts in 2023 on their website.
Now, "Money" has hit another milestone on Spotify, surpassing 1.1 billion streams. It stands as the first solo song by a K-pop act to reach this figure and is also the most-streamed song by a K-pop female act on the platform.
Additionally, Lisa's popularity continues to soar across her entire music catalog. She has recently reached a remarkable 8.57 million monthly listeners on Spotify. This impressive feat is even more noteworthy considering her solo debut was back in 2021. With this surge in listeners, Lisa has just edged past Jimin from BTS, who currently has 8.50 million monthly listeners on his official profile. This achievement places Lisa as the third-highest K-Pop soloist in terms of monthly listeners on Spotify, trailing only behind her fellow BLACKPINK member Jennie and BTS's Jungkook.
On the other hand, Lisa's two solo songs have achieved new marks on YouTube Music, "Lalisa" has surpassed 1 Billion plays, while "Money" has surpassed 1.6 Billion plays.
YouTube Music is a music streaming service that replaced Google Play Music, Google's previous music streaming service, in 2018. YouTube Music allows users to listen to official songs, audios, albums, artist radio, live versions of songs, as well as watch music videos and dance practices.
Fans couldn't be more proud of Lisa for all of her accomplishments and are eagerly looking forward to watching her grow more and more in the future.
Congratulations to BLACKPINK's LISA!
