2AM is set to make a full-group comeback in early January 2024. This return to the music scene is being made in collaboration with HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, often referred to as the "father figure" of 2AM for his significant role in shaping the group's current form. Bang Si Hyuk has previously contributed to 2AM's successful 2021 comeback with "Close but Far," marking their first full-group return in seven years.
Bang Si Hyuk is renowned for producing many of 2AM's hit songs, including "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die" and "You Wouldn't Answer My Calls." The anticipation for what kind of profound emotions 2AM will bring to the music industry in the new year is high, especially with Bang Si Hyuk's involvement.
On December 31, 2AM is scheduled to reveal their new song for the first time during the "2023 MBC Music Festival," which airs at 8:30 PM KST. This performance at the festival, which marks the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, is expected to highlight 2AM's emotional vocals and showcase their unwavering presence, setting the stage for their January comeback.
Since their debut in 2008 with the single "This Song," 2AM has been loved for numerous hits as the first ballad idol group. Songs like "Can't Let You Go Even If I Die," "You Wouldn't Answer My Calls," "Confession of a Friend," "How to Break Up Well," and "I Was Wrong" have all been well-received. Since their full-group comeback in 2021 after seven years, 2AM has been active, releasing official and project songs like "Close but Far," "Should Have Known," "Love, That's It," and "I Hate Everything but You".
