Red Velvet's Joy says her dog, Haetnim, has a personality quite similar to hers.
The idol recently appeared on the November 26 episode of SBS's 'TV Animal Farm,' where the cast discussed the DBTI (Dog Behavior Type Indicator) test.
The show's host Shin Dong Yeop explained, "People who have dogs might have tried this test at least once," referring to the DBTI, a MBTI personality type test for dogs. "It categorizes a dog's personality type," he continued. "Just like people, dogs have different personalities, so through this test, you can determine if your dog is E (extroverted) or I (introverted). It's said that their play style and friendships differ based on their personalities."
Tony Ahn, who also appeared on the program, joked, "I don't even know my own MBTI." He then went on to describe his dogs, saying, "Even when I call, they don't come easily. They have a certain aloofness and lack enthusiasm for everything, even playing, it's too bothersome." Hearing this, cast member Jung Seon Hee joked, "Wow, incredible! They're eerily similar to their dad," eliciting laughter.
Joy then revealed that her own MBTI is INFJ and her dog Haetnim has a similar personality. She said, "I'm the homebody style who is only really active when I'm at home, and Haetnim is also introverted. When we go out for a walk, she wants to go back home quickly." Joy then expressed surprise, adding, "Come to think of it, it seems like dogs and their owners have similar tendencies."
Continuing the conversation, Jung Seon Hee added, "We have a multi-dog household, and they're all different by breed," while Shin Dong Yeop added humorously, "Our dog, Cream, is definitely a capital 'E.' Her DBIT is just four Es."
Meanwhile, Joy and the rest of Red Velvet are currently promoting their new album 'Chill Kill,' which dropped on November 13.
