Despite missing some notable absences like Taeyeon's solo album that was supposedly happening earlier this year and IU, who is focusing more on her acting, 2023 has been quite the year with solo releases. Whether it was just a single or a full album, here are some of 2023's best solo releases!

Agust D - D-DAY
Agust D's comeback has been something everyone was looking for! He made us wait long enough, and this was such a perfect gift to leave us with before enlisting in the military. Different from his persona as SUGA or Min Yoongi, D-DAY certainly embodies Agust D in his true element, and we were all down bad for it.
The king, Key, has released a total of two albums this year, and fans agree that both albums were just too good! What else would you expect besides good and great from anything Key releases?
WOODZ - OO-LI
Although it was released back in April, this album is still everyone's obsession! WOODZ never disappoints with his releases, and this was yet another testament to how great of an artist he is.
Kwon Eunbi - The Flash
A QUEEN who never misses has to be Kwon Eunbi. Fans kept saying "The Flash" has to be the best solo release by a female artist in 2023! Each of her comebacks solidifies herself more as a capable soloist, and it's exciting to see what she has in store for us!
If you haven't Rover-ed this year, then what have you been doing? Even if you're not much of a dancer, you definitely will find yourself doing the dance just because of how fun and addictive both the song and dance are! Rover wasn't just a song. It was THE MOMENT.
GOT7 Jinyoung - Chapter 0: WITH
Being the last one out of the sevens to release his solo music, he definitely had us sobbing with how beautiful this album is. From the story each track tells, making the entire album a beautiful story, on top of his angelic and oh-so-beautiful and dreamy voice, it's genuinely a masterpiece.
From fans to music critics - this song is everyone's favorite! It might sound like a regular pop song to you, but if you were to deep-dive into how Jimin has this inherent melancholy in his art, you would see the lonely-in-a-crowd aspect that is perfectly expressed in the singing, the lyrics, the MV, the dance.
When it was announced that Jihyo was releasing a solo album, fans went insane because it was about time that their queen released a masterpiece of her own, and the waiting paid off! With her talent, vocals, and power, this album was undoubtedly a no-skip!
Every time Mark Lee drops a solo release, it is bound to be the best thing that happened in the year. Especially with this witty song referencing his meme and calling out the famous chef, Gordon Ramsay. I'm surprised we still don't have a Mark solo album. But then again, with how busy he juggles all the different groups, he most likely doesn't have the time.
Infinite Sungkyu - Small Talk
SHINee Taemin - Guilty
B.A.P Moon Jongup - X.O.X
