The circumstances surrounding the suicide of controversial YouTuber/reporter Kim Yong Ho has led to an examination of the tragic death of actress Oh In Hye.
On October 12, various online communities became rife with posts titled 'Actress Who Committed Suicide Because of Kim Yong Ho.' According to the online community posts, Oh In Hye first gained widespread attention for her eye-catching outfit at the 2011 Busan International Film Festival where she met Kim Yong Ho.
Oh In Hye was reportedly approached by Kim Yong Ho, who, impressed by her daring personality, initiated a love affair with her despite being a married man.
Their relationship lasted for seven years. Within this time, Kim Yong Ho reportedly introduced Oh In Hye to influential individuals, including agency representatives and affluent personalities, under the guise that she should "entertain" them. Eventually, when it appeared Oh In Hye was not ascending in her acting career as expected, Kim Yong Ho introduced the actress to lawyer Huh Wang, his co-host on the infamous YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute.'
An intimate relationship ensued between Huh Wang and Oh In Hye. However, after discovering that Huh Wang had reduced her to a mere "body" in conversations behind her back, Oh In Hye was overcome with a sense of profound betrayal and chose to end her life.
Confirming her resentment and heartbreak, Oh In Hye left a suicide note on her social media expressing her hurt feelings. She pointedly stated, "Are you watching? The person who referred to me as just a 'body'?" and tagged Huh Wang.
Though concrete evidence has yet to emerge, many believe that Oh In Hye would not have fabricated such a compelling charge in her suicide note.
On September 14, 2020, Oh In Hye was found in a state of cardiac arrest at her home in Songdo International City, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, she passed away at the age of 37.
Oh In Hye first entered the film industry with the 2011 movie 'Sin of a Family' and later went on to feature in several movies, including 'Red Vacance Black Wedding,' 'A Journey with Korean Masters,' 'Eating Talking Faucking,' 'Wish Taxi,' 'No Breathing,' and 'The Plan.'
Meanwhile, Kim Yong Ho was found deceased at a Busan hotel on October 12, prompting the re-examination of Oh In Hye's tragic suicide.
