On October 12, it was reported that former Garo Sero Institute YouTuber and reporter, Kim Yong Ho, was found dead at a hotel in Busan, South Korea. The Haeundae Police suspect that Kim may have taken his own life.
Kim Yong Ho was reportedly in Busan to attend a sexual molestation trial that had concluded on October 11. The Busan District Court had judged him guilty of the sexual molestation incident that happened at a restaurant in July 2019. The court ordered an 8-month prison sentence for Kim, which was deferred by a 2-year probationary period. Additionally, he was instructed to complete 120 hours of community service and 40 hours of sexual violence education.
Adding to the complexity of his situation, Kim Yong Ho was also embroiled in an ongoing investigation concerning allegations of blackmail and extortion of various top celebrities.
It was alleged that Kim had been involved in such activities since August 2020, supposedly soliciting money from celebrities in return for withholding private and potentially damaging information that may have likely tarnished their reputations. The extent of the money Kim had allegedly obtained from these acts of extortion is suspected to be within the range of hundreds of millions in KRW (thousands of dollars). An arrest warrant for Kim's continued involvement in this case was under review as of October 12.
Following Kim Yong Ho's death, many Korean netizens gathered in a popular online community to share their thoughts on the news.
K-netizens commented, "He was a real devil, not someone who would commit suicide, so this is surprising. Either way, good riddance," "He spread gossip and profit from other's misfortunes. He was a despicable person. So I always thought he would never have a happy ending but it seems his end was more pathetic than we expected," "He's someone that I really don't want to wish RIP. I believe it was karma. So, goodbye," "He was a real coward," "I don't exactly know who he is but it's really sad that people are pointing fingers at him even after he took his own life," and "I don't want to say anything about the deceased but he was like a devil living off of people's misery, making up rumors, and ruining other people's lives."

Hot take but don’t quote me on it. What if it was a homicide masked as a suicide? Perhaps a blackmail gone wrong? He’s stepped on so many people’s toes. Someone’s out to get him. Allegedly.
