The actor Lee Sun Gyun was recently booked on drug administration charges, and SBS's 'Unanswered Questions' has also begun their own investigation.
The SBS current affairs program 'Unanswered Questions' announced through its official Instagram account on October 25, "We are waiting for tips from those with knowledge of the drug distribution situation that occurs in the so-called 'VIP membership room salon' in Gangnam, Seoul."
Incheon Police Agency's drug crime investigation unit announced on October 23, "Lee Sun Gyun has been criminally charged with marijuana and other drug-related offenses according to the Drug Control Act." The police also arrested manager A (29, female) of the adult entertainment establishment on charges of narcotics control law violations and booked another female employee in her 20s who worked at the same establishment.
Lee Sun Gyun is currently accused of repeatedly using marijuana and other drugs at A's residence in Seoul since the beginning of this year. The police suspect that Lee Sun Gyun used various types of drugs, not just marijuana, and are expanding their investigation.
This case came to light when it was revealed that Lee Sun Gyun had reported A and another person to the prosecution on charges of making threats related to the drug case and extorting hundreds of millions of KRW, totaling an alleged 350 million KRW (~258,841 USD).
In addition, it has been reported that Lee Sun Gyun's drug case is linked to conglomerate heir Hwang Hana, former trainee and singer Han Seo Hee, and composer Jung Dae Eun, all of whom are under investigation by the police.
