Approximately two weeks ago, ATTRAKT announced it would be launching a new girl group project amid FIFTY FIFTY's legal dispute.
On September 15, an in-depth look into this project was provided by ATTRAKT's CEO Jun Hong Joon during a telephonic conversation with journalist Ahn Jin Yong.
Before the discussion started, Ahn Jin Yong indicated that the upcoming project would not serve as a sequel to FIFTY FIFTY but would instead feature a fresh girl group, whose members will be chosen through an open audition. Moreover, this selection process will be transparent and open to public scrutiny.
CEO Jun Hong Joon also shared that post the announcement of the project, music professionals around the globe responded with remarkable enthusiasm. This was evident as 800 tracks were submitted in a startlingly short period of two weeks.
He explained, "We received 800 songs. I only heard about 200 tracks...800 tracks were sent from all over the world in just two weeks. All the tracks are so good - from girl crush songs to easy-listening songs. There's an abundance."
During the phone interview, CEO Jun expressed how grateful he is to receive so many songs and support. He shared, "I truly feel like my life has taken a new turn, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. I'm so grateful to everyone who has been supporting me lately; I even shed tears of gratitude. Just two months ago, I was in a really dark place, wondering if life was even worth living. I felt so unfairly treated, and it was so hard to bear. Seriously, if things hadn't turned around just two and a half months ago, I don't know how I would have coped. I was on the brink of a breakdown... But in just two and a half months, everything has changed completely. A brand called 'ATTRAKT' was formed, people are supporting me, songs are overflowing, and there's talk of investments. We actually secured investments... I believe this is a miracle."
Korean netizens also expressed their support and commented, "We support you. I wish the broadcast would be on JTBC or Mnet, or even an OTT platform. And Samsung should sponsor them!" "I wish for his success," "I hope it gets broadcast by a large station," "Wow, I hope the new girl group is successful," "I hope this goes well," "This looks really good," "I am in complete support of this," "I will be watching this audition no matter what," "Nice, I have something to watch in the future," and "I will make sure to support the new group."
i hope this future group is insanely popular just so those 50s regret their actions every time they hear them. Well at least they wont get scolded over snacking on junk food anymore.
